What is Tee Ball?
Essendon Baseball Club welcomes all new and returning players to the start of the 2023/24 Tee Ball season. Our club’s engaging T-Ball program introduces young boys & girls 5-8 year olds to the great game of baseball, with a focus on fun & skills.
In relation to the program this year, we will be focussed on building the player’s entry-level understanding of the game, as well as basic hitting, throwing and fielding mechanics. Most importantly we will be making it fun, focussing on station work and drills that develop their love for the session and the game.
Over the course of the 8 or so sessions leading up to Christmas, we will be focussed on the basics including hitting off the Tee. Once we get all the player’s confidence up, the new year will see us transition into a machine pitch version of the game so we can play some modified rule games.
